More Testimonials from our guests

Our stay has been an incredible experience.  I have to confess I didn't know too much about Croatia and have been blown away by the beauty - I will pass on my ehthusiasm when I get home.

We have had an amazing time and were even lucky enough to experience a massive storm, scary at the time but left us a fantastic memory (stuck in Lidl with the lights out!)

We've been on a few excursions/day trips and all have been a great day out. - Montenegro, Elaphites, boat trip to Lokrum, Bus to Capacabana Beach (No 6 at the bus station).

The villa itself is beautiful, a welcome retreat after a busy day - thanks to Dube and Cvejtko (we knew you were there if we needed you).

Great time had by all.

Our stay at Villa Antipoedes has been very relaxing, travelling across part of Europe and being in different hotel rooms to small apartments. This was a great break in our vacation.  We stayed pretty much close by, everything in walking distance that we needed and wanted to do.  Ok we did have our groceries delivered - we were here for a week (have two young teenage sons).

We also had my parents join us, but half way through they decided to get a nice hotel room on the sea. But for the rest of us it was a great exercisee to burn off - seem to be always 'later than usual' dinners.  Not my sons though who are very slim and can eat anything.  Their day will come!  After we leave here we're off to see some of my husband's relatives - he was raised in a village a few hours away.  Our stay was great - Villa has everything for a comfortable stay.  Thank you Cvjteko and Dube for all your help. Thank you Devon and Anne.

We knew Dubrovnik would be an enchanging city but it is so much more - it is truly magical.  Walking the walls of the 'Old City' would have to rate as one of the most memorable things to do.

The Villa is perfect except for the stairs!  At least we got lots of exercie - no need for a gym.  We recommend Komarado restaurant - best seafood.

Our stay in Villa Antipodes was amazing.  A perfect location, very close to the old town.  We especially enjoyed Klarisa restaurant.  The service was fantastic and the food was amazing.  Worth the visit.

The kayaking around the island was spectacular.  Lunch and snorkling equipment was provided.  It lasted 3 hours.

It was worth visiting the island Lokrum. Beautiful scenery and lovely swimming areas.  A must to escape the heat of the town.

Cavtat was enjoyable, it was possible to rent out peddle boats and jet skis - a fun day out.

Overall, an excellent holiday, with beautiful accommodation.

We came to  Dubrovnik to celebrate a 50th birthday.  All we can say is that this city is very nice - although quite a lot of steps to walk. We have enjoyed the Old Town, Lokrum Island, cable car, beaches and even visited Mostar one day. For us from Finland the sea water was warm enough for swimming and the children especially loved it.  And the local food was excellent. We had a birthday pary in the Eden restaurant which we can highly recommend.

The Villa was very nice and its location superb.

What a beautifully decorated house, we had a very comfy stay.  We loved the town and Cavtat boat trip.

For the kids - Beach nearby, Aquarium, Cable car, Boat ride (short) - my child is 2 years old.

But the thing I most have to mention is the warm welcome and un-ending helpfulness of Dube and Cvjteko.

Thank you!

The vacation has been nothing less than fantastic.  Starting with the hospitality of our property manager, Cvjetko, we spent the week relaxing, exploring, learning and experiencing a new culture.  The local population is extremely friendly and accommodating and the Villa as well as the city of Dubrovnik are astoundingly beautiful.

A group favouriate was the ferry to Lokrum followed by sunset drink at Buza...followed by card games on the patio at Villa Antipodes,

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful house and enchanging city with us.

Three days in this very nice Villa was very pleasant.  We could cool down, as the town was very hot.  We have seen the town from the walls and from the mountain and had some very nice meals at the restaurants along the bay.

Dishwashing and laundry facilities were also perfect and we now travel on to Korcula.

A very functional house.

We have enjoyed a wonderful three nights at the Villa.  Our boys loved jumping the high rocks at Buza and a lovely (although hot and humid) walk along the wall.  The ferry to Lokrum was very worthwhile to enjoy the breath taking clear and cool water.  The cable car at dusk gave an even bettrer perspective of the old city and environs.  The Homeland War museum gave great instights to the national tragedy of the 90's.

We loved Villa Antipodes - perfectly appointment and wonderful hopsitality. Evenings of drinks on the balconey as a hightlight.  Fireworks over the city on our last night was just perfect!

Thank you

Thank you for a wonderful stay in this lovely Villa!  We love it and the all six of us are much more fit after a week with the steps.

Lovely weather with 29 degrees in the water.  We walked the wall and took a boat to Cavat and enjoyed the lovely little beach of St John.  We got lovely food at all the restaurants we visited.

Thank you very much for this time

Thank you both so much for an excellent stay in your beautiful Villa!! We enjoyed walking from Lapad bus stop to the coast and then turned Right along the long path and spent the day at the beach club 'Zoes'.  The swimming pools were fabulous over looking the sea.  The sunbeds etc. were all free.  Our children enjoyed jumping off the rocks and eating wonderful food at the beach club's restaurant.

We took the cable car to the top of the mountain and then walked back ... in flip flps!... probably much better to wear sensible shoes if you attempt this!

Thanks for the BBQ and gorgeous view!

Our choice to come to Villa Antipodes and to Dubrovnik was an inspired one to celebrate the forthcoming birthday of Jannie.

The facilities in the Villa are excellent and the Old town is wonderful.  Its restoration is a tribute to the Croatian people.

Special thanks are due to Cvjetko for the airport transfers and general advice.

The visit around the walls and up the cable car late evening in time for sunset were spectacular.

The boat trip and lunch in Cavtat brought back memoreis of over 30 years ago.

A most enjoyable holiday.  Thank you.,

A working week for most of the party (trying to convince people of Dubornvik not to join the European Union!  Can you not see the way it is turning into a disaster.

My role as wife was support party and the Villa made it very easy to look after everyone.

Superb accommodation, well equiped, peaceful except for the bells and the roosters!!

First day had a lovely meal at East West. if you go there take your swimnming things.

Little bakery at the bottom of the stairs/steps, turn left and opposite the cable car, lovely fresh bread and croissants.  Went up in the cable car and walkded down.  Take a map as we got lost on the way back!

City wall walk worth the money - Views amazing - 3D experience - don't bother.

If you want a beach, walk left of the walled city.

Had lunch at Posat, the cover charge worth it as it included lots of bread and a small apetizer which was very good.

Lovely meal on last night at Oliva Gourmet, Billiant resaurant, best to book as very poplular.

Elaine espceically loved all the steps! Despite a bad chest infection. We all had a lovely weekend. Thank you

"We have had a wonderful 10 days in Sarajevo Mostar and Dubrovnik.  This Villa was a wonderful place to end our stay.  So convenient and so comfortable.  Dubrovnik is an amazing city and frankly it’s surprising how much has been regained in both Dubrovnik and Bosnia in the last 15 years.  How sad that so much ethnic hatred still persists.  We took a magical hike in one of the National Parks - 2 Jews, 2 Muslims and 2 Christians and had a wonderful time.  We would recommend seeing that park to everyone.  Thanks for allow us to use your Villa."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our week in Croatia and Dubrovnik was a nice place to spend a few days.  Very comfortable abode and despite all the ice creams we still feel relatively fit.  Appreciated  Daniela’s recommendations for restaurants.  Weather a little overcast and cooler than expected but we did have a sunny day on Lokrum where we braved the cold water and went swimming.
Thanks Devon & Anne for the opportunity to experience Dubrovnik."

"Everything lived up to the extreme expectations created by your marvellous website. All recommendations perfect particularly your favourite taxi driver Nicola who gave us a superb tour of Dubrovnik in general and left us at Cavtat for ferry journey home.

The house was a feature and we loved the care and attention you have paid to the renovation.

We too will be thoroughly recounting it to others heading this way and feel very privilege to have stayed here"

"Having left a Sydney winter, Dubrovnik has been fantastic.  Villa is very well appointed, easy access to the old city, beach and restaurants. A wonderful six days and great meals at Proto and Wanda. Trips to the Islands and Cavtat were well worth the visit. The use of the computer and the Villa website is great for information and access."
